There are a lot of Elsa costume tutorials around the web, yet I found none of them really helpful when my little daughter asked me to sew a costume for her. Most of the “Ice dress” guides are simple and cheap, but the final result seems not very accurate and my daughter is really demanding when it comes to queen Elsa!

OS X El Capitan 10.11 and VMware: how to improve performance

A little more than a year has passed since the post where we explained how to get rid of OS X BeamSync, the cancer that utterly cripples the user experience of those XCode developers who are wise enough to ditch Apple machines and use VMware (and a decent OS such as Windows or Linux) instead: back then it was OS X Yosemite, but El Capitan doesn’t perform any better: as a matter of fact it comes bundled with the same BeamSync-based issue, thus keeping our post valid.

Url.Action Extension Method written in C# to handle multi-language Routes in ASP.NET MVC

As anticipated here – and also by popular demand – we’re publishing an Extension Method sample that will enhance the Url.Action helper method in any Razor View allowing the developer to specify a CultureInfo object – or even a null one, to use the CultureInfo.CurrentCulture – that will be used to build a multi-language URL. Needless to say, such URL will only work if we configured a multi-language aware Route within our application such as the one we mentioned in this post.
